Tamim Satari is an experienced Air Operations Officer who has served with distinction in various roles within the Afghan military. Born in Pul-e-Khumri city in Baghlan province, Tamim graduated from the esteemed National Military Academy of Afghanistan (NMA) in Kabul where he pursued his passion for civil engineering and obtained his degree in 2014. Satari’s dedication to excellence and commitment to service led him to earn a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the National University in Kabul in 2018, further enhancing his expertise in the field. His educational background combined with his firsthand experience have made him a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional in the areas of military engineering and operations.
Satari’s military career has been marked by significant achievements and notable assignments. He initially served as an Engineer, providing crucial support in the maintenance of military buildings and facilities. In the spring of 2017, he was appointed as a Construction Officer for the Afghan National Army, where he worked collaborated with NATO and the United States Engineering Corps for two years, gaining valuable international experience.
Satari’s outstanding performance and leadership qualities earned him the role of Air Intelligence Operations Officer at the Joint Special Operations Coordination Center from 2017 to 2018. During this time, he played a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating operations, as well as providing critical intelligence support to the Joint Special Operations Forces. In his most recent assignment, Satari served as the Battle Captain and Chops for Joint Special Operations Command at Camp Sullivan in Kabul. As an intelligence officer, he excelled in data analysis and map creation, providing valuable insights and strategic guidance to support operational decision-making.
Satari’s commitment to duty extends beyond his military service. After being evacuated to the U.S., he has also worked as a Mechanical Engineer for a prominent company in his new home of Vernon Valley, New Jersey, highlighting his versatility and expertise in both military and civilian roles. In addition to his professional achievements, Satari is also a dedicated family- oriented person. He is a happily married and proud father to a 2-year-old son.
Satari serves as the Regional Ambassador for Afghan Special Operations veterans who live in New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. His impressive career trajectory and unwavering dedication to excellence make him a highly respected and accomplished professional.
